Character & Leadership Development
Helping youth become responsible, caring citizens and acquire skills for participating in the democratic process is the main thrust of these programs. They also develop leadership skills and provide opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to Club and community and celebrating our national heritage.
Health & Life Skills
From gardening and cooking classes to nationally recognized alcohol and drug abuse prevention programming this core program area is focused on helping our members build the tools and skills they need to make positive choices that will lead to life-long healthy habits.
These initiatives help youth achieve and maintain healthy, active lifestyles.
The Arts
Allowing every member to explore their creative side is a central part of the daily Club Experience and includes each child gaining experience with and appreciation of the various visual, performing and creative art forms.
Sports, Fitness, & Recreation
Getting active today and finding a passion for some type of life-long fitness endeavor is important for the growth and development of every Club member. Our Clubhouse professionals focus on helping members develop fitness goals, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, appreciation for the environment and social and interpersonal skills.
Education & Career Development
The elements of this core program area support each member’s school-day academic success and transition toward helping them develop a personal plan to realize their own aspirations and dreams after they graduate high-school. An important part of this area is the exploration of the career and educational opportunities in the community and across Montana.
Specialized Initiatives
These initiatives focus on meeting the significant and specific needs identified within Boys & Girls Clubs. Their broad scope complements several or all of our core program areas.
