2026 YELLOWSTONE COUNTY
JUNIOR YOUTH OF THE YEAR
Makenzie

Junior Youth of the Year seeks to develop junior leaders, ages 10 to 13, within the Club environment. This high recognition spotlights our growing talent and leadership achievements of current Club youth who have excelled at academic excellence, leadership potential, and Club participation. Each participant showcases their passions, achievements, strengths, and a speech to a judging panel for the chance to become a leader and role model for other Club members in Yellowstone County. The 2026 Yellowstone County Junior Youth of the Year exceeds the requirements of being an outstanding member at Club and shares a passion for service in and out of the Clubhouse environment.
Makenzie has been a loyal Club member for 7 years, first joining as a Kindergartener. She fills her days with her favorite hobbies, which include sports like judo and wrestling, learning to cook a new recipe, or serving the community in the Girl Scouts.
At Club, she has become a strong leader through the many lessons she’s learned, such as honesty, kindness, and respect. Her personal theory is one that touches the lives of everyone she meets: if everyone was kind to each other, the world would be so much better. Her belief is rooted in past pain and suffering, and her positivity and perseverance has aided in her growth as a leader.
She is an active member of the Girl Scouts and Torch Club, a Club program that helps members, ages 11-13, build character and leadership skills and takes pride in the small projects they both provide to help those around her. From community clean ups, and connecting with Club members, she has become a pillar in the Clubhouse that has earned her the title of 2025 Yellowstone County Junior Youth of the Year.
