Karrie Owen Receives
Prestigious Regional Award
During the recent Boys & Girls Clubs of America Southwest Regional Conference, our very own Vice President of Donor Advancement, Karrie Owen, was named the region’s 2023 Outstanding Resource Development Professional! The Southwest Region includes hundreds of strong organizations across eight states, and Karrie’s recognition not only highlights her individual excellence, but also the significant influence her leadership has on the Clubs’ ability to have a greater impact on those who need us most.
According to Robert Beers, Board Chair for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Yellowstone County, “Karrie’s leadership over the past 12 months, has been nothing short of exceptional and enabled the Club to successfully navigate a variety of challenges, including the loss of a key member of the fundraising team. Karrie willingly stepped into the gap, and not only did she perform her regular duties incredibly well, but she led a transformational redesign of the fundraising structure for the Boys & Girls Club and the Endowment Foundation. Her innovative thinking and incredible resilience provided the leadership and insight for the organization and her peers that enabled us to not only raise significantly more money, but to set the stage for incredible success in the coming years. We are lucky to have Karrie!”
Chris Dorr and Barb Grubbs, who have co-chaired our signature event, the BE GREAT Ball for the past eight years, had this to say about their experience working beside Karrie. “Her willingness to listen, to implement new suggestions, to respect volunteers, to ask advice from those with experience and to produce the best possible outcomes has elevated this event to one of the premier fundraisers in our community. Karrie’s passion inspires everyone, and she makes the planning and execution seamless, fun, and totally gratifying for everyone.”
We are incredibly proud of Karrie and beyond grateful that she chooses to share her immense talent and impact with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Yellowstone County and the Endowment Foundation. She is a tremendous asset to those who need us most and the entire community!
Please join me in congratulating Karrie on this well-earned recognition.
