CORE VALUE AWARDS

Harley

Love It, Live It, Give It

Throughout their time with us, this staff member has consistently exemplified what it truly means to care for our community, from the moment they step into any Clubhouse, they bring an infectious energy that resonates with both members and staff alike. Their booming voice and warm greetings create an immediate sense of welcome and belonging. Whether it is leading impromptu dance parties or singing at the top of their lungs, they encourage everyone around them to embrace joy and have fun. This vibrant spirit is a testament to their belief in fostering a positive environment where silliness is not only accepted but celebrated.

Each day, this person shows up and is ready to give their all. Their positive attitude is contagious and serves as a reminder that our Club is a safe haven for creativity and laughter. Members feel valued knowing that someone genuinely cares about their experiences here. Furthermore, this individual has built strong relationships with not only the Club members, but with parents by taking the time to connect with them about their children’s daily adventures at the Club. This connection not only strengthens our community but also helps families feel more involved in what we do.

A particularly memorable moment that highlights this person’s fun-loving nature was when they organized a cornstarch winter activity for 25 primary members. The gleeful squeals of delight from the kids were priceless, while parents watched on with smiles (and perhaps a bit of anxiety about cleanup!). This event remains a cherished memory for many families who still talk about it today, a perfect example of how Harley Ankeny creates lasting impressions through very unique experiences.

Harley’s innovation does not end there, his implementation of the “Power Point” system has truly transformed our Club culture and accountability for all Club members! The system fosters a sense of responsibility towards maintaining a clean and safe Clubhouse environment by encouraging positive behavior and good decision-making. As recognition for those things, members earn “power points”. We have seen an increase in member engagement and pride in our shared space. Moreover, the Power Point system has also extended its influence on our staff. Both Heights Clubhouses are now participating in this initiative, allowing staff members to earn rewards through their contributions, just like the Club members. This not only boosts morale but also raises the overall standard of service we provide.

Additionally, Harley’s willingness to volunteer at any Clubhouse at a moment’s notice speaks volumes about their dedication to our organization. They often reiterate that “we are all one organization,” embodying teamwork and collaboration by building positive relationships across different Clubhouses.

We wholeheartedly believe that Harley embodies the core values represented by the “Love It, Live It, Give It” award. Their unwavering commitment to caring for our members, and creating joyful experiences makes them an invaluable asset to our community and organization.
