Total Teen Takeover Continues!

Total Teen Takeover is continuing strong at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Yellowstone County. Two years ago, we reaffirmed our commitment to serving teens and tweens as they grow into young adults. Now more than ever, providing engaging programs and support in their lives and development is crucial. Over 25% of our total members are teens, ranging from 6th grade to Seniors in high school. With a wide range in age, it’s important to tailor programs that appeal to the newest of teens and those applying to college.
Quincee Sturgill, the Teen Workforce Development Manager, along with Paige & Juanita, is doing just that. Taking inspiration from her own background in the coffee service industry, Quincee scheduled behind-the-scenes tours at Rail Line and Mazevo Coffee. Her motivation for these trips has been to highlight the entry-level job opportunities for teens and young adults that can also develop into long term careers. She hopes to plan future trips that expose teens to options outside of the mainstream – “While traditional paths are important, I believe sometimes all it takes is exposure to an alternative interest, trade, or career to spark a passion that can change the course of a young person’s future.”
Quincee’s addition to the Teen Team has made a valuable difference in Paige & Juanita’s ability to develop teen programs and leadership skills. 406 Impact, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Yellowstone County’s local Keystone Club, has been working hard to make a difference in our local Clubhouses and stand out at the 2025 Keystone Conference in Chicago! Keystone Club is a teen program offered through the Boys & Girls Club that provides leadership development opportunities for teens that focus on academic success, career preparation, and community service.
Teen leaders organized Keystone Camp for Club members, a week of fun programming planned by 406 Impact members. Programming included creating and pitching a unique product, Shark Tank style, fun water challenges, making healthy snacks together, and more! This was a great opportunity for teen members to be leaders in the Clubhouse and serve as inspiration for our younger members.
Additionally, three standout teens represented Yellowstone County at the 2025 Keystone Conference in Chicago, Illinois this summer. They’ve completed hundreds of volunteer hours, fundraised to cover the cost of travel to the convention, and planned engaging events for teens, like the annual Keystone Dance-A-Thon, a combined fundraiser and dance that is open to Club Teens and their friends.
There is no doubt about it, our Club Teens are taking over and we are proud of the leaders they are becoming in the community. Their success could not have been cultivated without the Club professionals who were carefully picked for their talents and expertise. Juanita, Paige, and now Quincee are leading the Teen Program to great success and even greater futures.
