Coming Soon:

The Calm Center

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Yellowstone County is committed to the Social and Emotional Wellness of Club members and staff. As part of that commitment, the Club has been expanding resources for Club members who are experiencing high emotions and whose senses are overwhelmed. A new resource coming to the Lockwood Clubhouse is The Calm Center.

The Calm Center will provide a relaxing, safe environment filled with fidgets, comfy seats, and small activities aimed to help Club members regulate their emotions and respond better to anxieties and stressors. Club members will have the opportunity to take breaks in the Calm Center if they’re overwhelmed or just need a moment to themselves. Club staff will also use the space for programming and teaching coping mechanisms and calming skills.

The Boys & Girls Clubs is grateful for the kind generosity of Mike & Diane Boyett and Yellowstone Valley Electric Cooperative, who have contributed to the success of this new space. It is our hope that The Calm Center is a complete and fully functioning space by this coming Fall.
